Just Shrimp Hosts My Radio Chicago

Tinley Park, IL February 9, 2016– Over the weekend, My Radio Chicago, an internet based radio station, broadcast live from Just Shrimp at 15940 S Harlem Avenue, in Tinley Park. Several local hip hop artists, including Sasha Go Hard, Lil Keisha, AC Style, Shaky Shawn, Sinseer P Ali, Bree, SoLow RedLine, and Setoya were in attendance for a meet and greet with fans and a live interview with My Radio Chicago.

As a small business owner for over 40 years, Just Shrimp owner, John Mihalos, understands what it’s like starting out and was happy to host the event, not only to support My Radio Chicago, but also to create a venue for local young artists to gain exposure.

Customers were able to satisfy multiple senses, by enjoying upbeat music and feasting on delectable fried shrimp. Although the fried shrimp packs were the biggest hit on Saturday, Just Shrimp offers several other fried seafood options, such as lobster, catfish, oysters, cod, and lake perch. In addition to the fried menu items, Just Shrimp recently introduced a lobster roll and lobster bisque.

This was a first appearance for My Radio Chicago at the new restaurant. My Radio Chicago was created to showcase local artists and spread a positive message throughout the Chicago area. Their goal is to give young people a voice and empower women through their internet talk show. Janet Neal, one of the station’s talk show hosts, explains that My Radio Chicago wants “to be heard all over the world as that new internet station that changes lives, through music and positive talk”. My Radio Chicago was started through Support District Radio network based in Phoenix, AZ. Launching in December of 2015, this young radio station has already reached 200,000 listeners.

Just Shrimp Restaurant Opens a Second Location in Alsip IL

Just Shrimp is a small family owned an operated business. Our mission is to provide fresh seafood at a reasonable price with great service.

Alsip, IL (PRWEB) November 30, 2015

The Tinley Park eatery has opened a second location at 5438 W 127th Street, bringing another option of fried seafood and other delicacies to the area. The restaurant will stay in line with its sister restaurant in Tinley Park offering the same variety of seafood. John Mihalos, managing partner of both locations along with his operating partner of Just Shrimp Alsip, George Marudas, recognized the demand for the product in the area and decided to create the new location with the same vision as its Tinley Park location.

“We are bringing back the forgotten local shrimp house. People are on the go and on a tight budget, but still want to enjoy great seafood at a reasonable price. In today’s market place that is difficult to find. Just Shrimp is looking to fill that void. With our unique and affordable menu people can appreciate our products,” said Mihalos.

The location is primarily a takeout restaurant, but with its 15 seat capacity it can offer the option of dining in to those that choose to do so.

“Just Shrimp offers much more than its name suggests. With a small but substantial menu, our customers can enjoy a wide variety of seafood. Each menu item is wild caught and made to order. For example, the popular fried lobster dish is a succulent, juicy delicacy that many say is better served fried than any other way. The small pieces of Lake Perch, with the their lightly breaded crispy exterior and moist delicate interior will leave your mouth watering. The catfish filets are tender and sweet. The calamari has a delightfully crispy exterior. It makes an excellent starter or even a main meal. You’ll have a chance to try both rings and tentacles.” Mihalos continued.

The lobster roll could easily compete with any east coast lobster shack; made the traditional way, with whole Maine lobster, mayonnaise, chopped celery, lemon juice, and house seasoning. It is served cold on a lightly toasted buttered New England roll. Each meal is served with a generous side of fries and fresh coleslaw; choose from seven different mouthwatering shrimp sauces. Almost all meals can also be purchased as a sandwich, served on a toasted French roll, with lettuce, tomato, a perfectly paired sauce along with a side fries and slaw. All menu items can be sold individually, or by the pound.

We believe that Just Shrimp has filled a void in the south suburbs with a high quality, delectable shrimp and seafood. Just Shrimp is a small family owned and operated business with over 40 years of experience in the industry. Our mission is to provide fresh seafood at a reasonable price and deliver exceptional service to their customers. Whether you are from the area, or just passing through, this is a place you don’t want to miss.
